Description

Perfect for storing pickles, olives, jalapeños and cheese.

The hourglass shaped pickle jar is designed to keep the contents in its juices when not in use and to separate the juice from the contents before using it. The large part of the jar is 600ml and the smaller part is 250ml. The jar is easy to fill, use and clean.

Glass is borosilicate glass material, a very food safe material that can withstand very high and low temperatures. The lids are made of BPA free plastic and durable and safe non-slip silicone bottom. The silicone strainer is easily removable and washable.

The airtight lid makes the jar 100% airtight keeping the contents fresh.

Note: If the product you received is leaking it could mean that the silicone ring inside the lid isn’t sitting correctly or you haven’t screwed the tightly enough.

PLEASE NOTE-NOT SUITABLE FOR BEETROOT

While our glass pickle jar is constructed from high quality, food grade safe materials, gas build up while the jar is shut tight could cause the jar to break. This is due to the fermentation process and generation of carbon dioxide gas. When there is too much CO2 inside the jar and there is no way for it to escape it could break.

We DO NOT advise that you use the pickle jar for pineapple, beetroot and other fermented fruit/veggies. If you do, please ensure that you open  the lid regularly to ensure the gas has been ejected and not trapped in.

Please fill jars with caution, the heavy impact of some ingredients especially 500g fettuccine/spaghetti could break the bottom of the jar. Be careful when using sharp or hard objects in the glass. The glass is fragile and it may crack upon impact. Glass jars are dishwasher safe (without the vinyl label and Acacia lid) but hand washing is recommended.

Free and Fantastic

I got this free with my order and I would never purchase something like this, it seemed a little random. But we tested it out with some pickles and it’s actually an amazing invention. It’s glass so the quality is really nice. No more soggy pickle fingers. I love this thing!
